If you don't want to reinstall (to check this box), you may have to install xorg and your favorite desktop manager (gnome, KDE, or whatever you want). To start a graphical interface, you will have to login in console and then start xorg. Just do:

 startx

will make it.

Or do "sudo tasksel install desktop". That will install all the software needed for a graphical system.
