It works! Thank you very much for your help.
Now I still have the problem I had before I erased sources.list. When I go
to Suynaptic's "Configuration" --> "Repositories" , it will not open the
appropiate window but rather a message saying I should reload them because
they have changed. I do it but when I try to open the repo list again, I get
the same message and cannot change the repos from the Software Origins
window. (It never opens.)
This is what I get when I try to execute it from the console:
