This is my /boot/boot.cfg:

showmenu 0
title Boot with GNU GRUB2
kernel (wd0,0)/boot/grub.elf
args console=tty no_auto_cmd
This means that the kernel gets its parameters from GRUB2. Check
/boot/grub/grub.cfg.
