Try enabling the HTML5 trial and see if works: http://www.youtube.com/html5 I presume you're using the Epiphany browser. If youtube doesn't work with Epiphany, try the Iceweasel browser. Iceweasel is a modified version of Firefox. to install Iceweasel, open the terminal and do: $ su [Enter the root password]: # apt-get install iceweasel # exit Note that when you type the password, there will be no visual feedback that you're typing the password. Just type it and hit Enter. If you've problems in this let us know.
