I've seen this type of thing reported on slashdot a few times.
Verisign has evidently stooped to lying and dirty tricks as means of
defrauding people into providing them with a revenue stream.
You could probably do a google or slashdot search and find similar
reports and/or what to do about, but I don't have any other info,
