  Okay, I've checked my notes, and yes, I had my wires crossed.  We didn't
need to use AT&T's SMTP relay because AT&T was blocking TCP port 25, but
because *other* ISPs were blocking residential AT&T customers from sending
mail directly to their MX.  It was Verizon that was blocking TCP port 25
outbound.

  Sorry for the confusion.  :-)
