It is possible that the shareware version does - I don't know. But the free version I got didn't do anything like that because I have ZoneAlarm Pro running on my house computer (where I've used the tool) and it hasn't complained about a program "accessing the internet" when the obfuscator runs. As to the output of the program, you're getting source code (vbscript) to place on your web page and if it was communicating in any way you should be able to see it. Like the other examples of vbscript provided, it simply confuses web bots. You can look at the snippet from my web site on the main page at www.alexhewitt.com .
