Keep in mind that the average joe blow who sets up their wireless network treats the router like any other "appliance" -- the toaster, the TV, the dishwasher. They have no understanding about security issues and to them it's just a souped-up remote control or walkie-talkie. This is to be expected when the "ultra-high-tech" that was the sole province of us hackers winds up in the hands of Joe and Jane Average. Probably the installation instructions mentions nothing about this either, because it would only incur more tech support calls. As long as it *works* out of the box, that is enough. There are inflows and outflows -- and you're just a little node. _______________________________________________ gnhlug-discuss mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-discuss
