Basically it burns a DVD+RW disk as booktype "DVD-ROM" This lets you play a video DVD in any commercial DVD drive, since it acts like a "normal" DVD.

P.S. I got a $60 Philips DVD player from Best Buy and it plays almost anything, including MPEG-4.
