That reminds me - make sure ~/.mozilla is recursively yours!

I seem to recall that having once been an issue.

In short, look around.  I'm pretty sure it's all about permissions.

If security isn't an issue, you could chmod 777 your seamonkey's install 
directory....

...but I am sure there are better ways.
