I'm a .Net guy whose starting to come over to the other side... At work, we need to leverage a lot of C# code on Linux so we are looking at Mono again...
It looked to be in sad shape a while ago, but now seems to be picking up steam. A lot of stuff we have are services/daemons. so no UI issues (though I'd like to try some of that for personal use). I tried getting MonoDevelop running on Ubuntu 9.04, but that was a mess... So I'm going to SuSE 11.1... which is "officially" supported, and has packages for Mono and MonoDevelop... I'd like to hear anyone else's user experience with Mono... (licensing issues aside, please) Gerry
