I know, I know: it's hard to get more esoteric than this, and I apologize. But I seem to recall someone on here noting that once you'd dragged a tab away from a gnome-terminal (so that it popped up as its own separate window), there isn't an obvious way to re-merge it back to the parent. Irksome, especially if it's done by accident. Well, I found a way -- it's kludgey, but it gets the job done.
Bring up a gnome-terminal. Create a tab. Drag the tab to a new window. (This is where, in real life, you might go "Wups!") In the new window, create a tab. (The purpose of this is simply to show the tab bar.) Now, drag the tab you accidentally created the new window with back to the original parent, and voila! it re-merges. Discard spare window flapping in the breeze, and you're back to where you wanted to be. -Ken -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ gnhlug-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-discuss/
