Late last year, I posted this comment: http://status.hackerposse.com/conversation/1012
"The real tragedy of SPAM is not that it's ruined the Internet, but that's it's convinced the users to ruin it themselves." (in reference to various spam-fighting mechanisms preventing legitimate e-mail from going through--see the link for context) And I'm pretty sure that I was paraphrasing something that I'd read from someone else, but I just can't seem to get the search-engines to tell me that anyone other than me wrote anything even similar to that. I really want to believe that it was something from Steve Bellovin, but I just can't find it.... Does any of this ring a bell for any of you? -- "Don't be afraid to ask (λf.((λx.xx) (λr.f(rr))))." _______________________________________________ gnhlug-discuss mailing list gnhlug-discuss@mail.gnhlug.org http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-discuss/
