Late last year, I posted this comment:

 legitimate e-mail from going through--see the link for context)

And I'm pretty sure that I was paraphrasing something that
I'd read from someone else, but I just can't seem to get the
search-engines to tell me that anyone other than me wrote
anything even similar to that.

I really want to believe that it was something from Steve Bellovin,
but I just can't find it....

Does any of this ring a bell for any of you?
