In the spirit of maddog's help for Linus way back when, perhaps the
purpose of the gnhlug "charitable" corporation should be to financially
sponsor technical speakers thereby advancing the knowledge of Linux
enthusiasts in New Hampshire.

The financial assistance may be as little as paying for a meal or
gas money to as much as paying airfare from Ireland.

GNHLUG would make available ballots on which to suggest a speaker to
be subsidized. The ballots would cost a nominal amount, say $1 each.
The membership of GNHLUG comprises those who voted in the present and
past fiscal year.

To the extent possible, GNHLUG would have a representative present
at meetings of the associated groups (MerriLUG, etc.) to offer the
ballots (buy as many as you wish) and collect money, including
contributions. The ballots could also be available on the web if
accompanied by a $20 contribution, possibly via PayPal.

Contributions could be cash or pledges to pay for a dinner or
provide overnight lodging (at one's home, perhaps) for a guest
traveling from a long distance.
