Hey, I know folks whose dogs wag their tails instead of barking at strangers, that
means anybody could take a knife and take them down easily.  Should they be
concerned about you?  Who should society condemn in such a case?

Syn flooding a net segment is an equally violent act (unless you own that segment).

Even if they didn't prevent you from taking it down, if they can track it back to
you they can take you down for it (either technologically or legally, their choice
not yours).
