If it was tonight, I won the Battle of the MTA's (sendmail) as no one else
was there. This was 7pm, checking out upstairs and the area where geeks eat
before hand.

I have to complain. There's no meeting scheduled on the calendar. In fact I
hate the calendar, you can't just glance at it and see what's up. There's
got to be something better. I looked at the web page, and the last meeting
listed was in Oct 2000. There should be a simple blurb, like "Meetings are
the 4th Wed of the month unless otherwise specified".

I had tonight in my Palm as the Battle of MTA night. Perhaps I got it wrong.
I must of. I ate some tasty chicken at "Chicken and Chips".

I propose we add a service (I can host it) for our GNHLUG members. First,
the leaders of each group somehow indicate the regular meeting schedule.
Most likely via a web page.

The system then sends a message one week before, asking if things are to go
as planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system then sends a message 3 days before, asking if things are to go as
planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system then sends a message 1 day before, asking if things are to go as
planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system then sends a message at 9am the day of the meeting, asking if
things are to go as planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system then sends a message at 3pm the day of the meeting, asking if
things are to go as planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system then sends a message at 6pm the day of the meeting, asking if
things are to go as planned.
He responds with a yes/no in the body.

The system can send these messages to different address for each nag.
The nagged can respond with "stop nagging".
The nagged can reschedule via mail or web page.

Anyone can send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the group name in the
body to get the current status.

I'm thinking cell phone usage, where I'm on Rt 3 stuck in traffic, and I can
send a preformatted message to find out the scoop.

Ok, back to TIVO land.
