I figured out the problem. I set the destination path to a symbolic
linked directory. Switching to an absolute path fixed the problem. GNOGA
now compiles and installs fine.

The first time I ran the installer, I experienced the installer blocked at 100
% processor usage for half an hour (yeah I was patient).
It was blocked about a quater or a third of the installation process.
I had clicked on detailed view button to see all installed files.
Then I forced quit.
The second time I launched installer without detailed view and it was ok.
