I don't know if I weren't clear enough to explaint that we don't want
"serialization" in GLib, it's just to convert a string to a value not
objects.

functions in GDA.

As the last, GStreamer has it's own transformation From/To String for his
own types of values.

Right, let's then keep that code in libgda, as GStreamer does...
