I've been searching for *any* docs/HOWTO for adding an icon in the system tray and display baloon messages. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything. The only thing I came to from searching google is that most apps use eggtrayicon.[ch] to do this, but I couldn't find any docs/tutorials on using this library. I wanted to ask for any resources so I can just write a plain program which displays some text in the tray icon using baloon messages. I intend to write a tutorial on this cause as I said before, I couldn't find anything on this and I think it would be useful for other gtk+/gnome beginners.
