It's not an "applet" anymore.
Just use:
Applications -> Accessories -> Take screenshot
Or, better, "Print Screen" for taking the whole desktop, or Alt +
Print
Screen for the focused window.
I do not find this is great. Because on some computer (such as
macintosh), there is no Print, therefore it's hard to take only the
focused window. We should also provide a "area screenshot" and a
differed screenshot. "Take screenshot" should allow this.
