Hi Joe, My recommendation is to simply take a look through the bug list and help us resolve existing issues. You can look at a bug, write a fix, create a patch and attach it to that bug report. One of the core devs will look it over and if it looks correct, apply it to core. This is a great way to learn the codebase, while still contributing to the project.
