I don't think this is quite accurate. You certainly _can_ write docklets in C#, but I _think_ you should be able to use any .NET language to write a docklet - C#, VB.net, Boo, IronPython, IronRuby, F#, etc. I've never tried this, though, so there may be unforeseen pitfalls. Maybe I should try whipping up a quick python plugin as a proof of concept.
