Hello,
As you might know, mousetweaks is a module that has been proposed for integration into GNOME and that provides accessibility enhancements for the mouse. At 2:19 PM -0600 12/21/07, Shaun McCance wrote in http://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2007-December/msg00208.html >MouseTweaks currently has a user manual, and it appears to be >reasonably complete. The fact that it's not in Gnome SVN means >that it will be difficult for the Gnome Documentation Team to >assist with documentation, and that our translators will not >be able to translate the document. > >My understanding is that the community wanted the MouseTweaks >settings to be integrated into our Accessibility preferences, >but that this has not happened. If this were to happen (and, >perhaps, even if not), then MouseTweaks should be documented >in the Accessiblity Guide and/or the User Guide. As the mouse control will probably look this [1] if the mousetweaks module will be accepted for integration into GNOME, I modified a copy of the config-mouse.xml documenation to adapt it to the potential new mouse control panel of the gnome control center. You can find the modified config-mouse.xml in bugzilla in the thread with the patches for the mouse control panel. [2] I suppose that the User Guide will also have to be updated. If I got it right, it is the goscustdesk.xml part of the User Guide that will have to be updated. Should I begin working on it? Or more generally, what additional documentation about mousetweaks is needed if the mousetweaks module gets integrated into GNOME? Finally, as this is the first documentation that I am writing for GNOME, it should probably be reviewed by someone with more knowledge about the GNOME documentation. Have a nice day.
