I broke the use of gettext in Vinagre and Vino while doing some build
system pruning a few weeks ago, but Kjartan Maraas noticed and provided
patches that fix my mistake:

Without these changes, there are lots of missing translations in the UI
of both projects. The fix is to add an include for config.h to each of
the affected source files, and does not change any other code. OK to
push?
