Complain to Ubuntu folks for changing "Desktop" menu to "System". I prefer the "Desktop" one (and especially the translation of it to Serbian), but it's their call. This is not a Gnome problem, but rather, Ubuntu one. Otherwise, your Ubuntu translation team should translate it. You can also include by hand a translation for "System" into your PO file, and it MIGHT be picked up when Ubuntu guys update their translations.
