I'm using this: for i in *.po; do if test -f /gnome/sources/current/gnome-shell/po/$i; then msggrep --msgid -F -e 'Available' -e 'Busy' -e "Switch User" -e "My Account" /gnome/sources/current/gnome-shell/po/$i > /tmp/$i msgcat --use-first $i /tmp/$i > $i.new mv $i.new $i fi done Seems to work well. I'll wait for approval for the freeze break, though, to make sure I get as many translations from gnome-shell as possible.
