it somehow impact peoples passion. Buy Anson is right. to be honest, I do
believe people who can speak english is more suitable to linux, but this again
back to the argue that it is unfair to let people learn english in order to use
linux... sigh...

Thanks for making this clear then.

Hi,

As I've said previously please be patient. You need to have quite some accepted
translations before becoming a reviewer. The problem we don't have enough
active reviewer was caused by not having enough people doing long term
commitment, and cannot be solved in a way of compromising quality.

We do have problems that existing reviewers and committers are not being active
enough to keep up with current submissions, but it's not something we are able
to solve by simply accepting more people as reviewer instantly.

Aron

Hi all,

For the proposal, if there is to be more reviewers being put in place, I
am willing to apply
for a position as a reviewer.

In addition, in my humble opinion, the fact that GNOME being a widely used
desktop
environment, lacking adequate zh_CN localization support (or the fact that it
is just slacking
behind the release cycles...) is painful and sorry to look at, I do think it is
now the time for
a more progressive and a (hopefully) more efficient translate-review-commit to
be put
in place.
Looking forward to see more updates from the list!

Ah, gotcha!

Well, it's true that I am often (I tried to use sometimes) aggressive, since I
am often bored and need interesting things (like translating frequently-used
modules) to work on. Sorry for that :/

Hmm, since many translators are actually doing some reviewing work by starting
from other's work now, it might be a good idea to choose a few new reviewers
from the currently active translatots so we can make better use of the Damned
Lies workflow. I am not quite sure about committers though.

And again, any thoughts on that proposal?

Hi again,

Also I would kindly ask you to be a little bit not that aggressive on pushing
things. It's admirable when you are able to invest a lot of time to contribute,
but we are all volunteers and people might be busy working on real life stuff.
Please be a bit patient and we should be able to work those things out.

Thanks,
Aron
