I've setup my multimedia keyboard to control volume using gnome-keybinding-properties. The binding succeeds and when I use the volume controls from the keyboard, there is an onscreen indicator that the volume is changing.
The problem is that this changes the master volume for the alsa mixer. I need it to change the PCM volume (for some reason, PCM is the 'actual' master volume). Does anyone know how to change this behaviour?
