Hello Gnome devs and Gnome community.
I won't begin to describe you how much I love Gnome Shell, the great and
innovative work you have done etc. This mail is to address a serious
issue regarding Gnome Shell and Catalyst drivers. As it is known
Catalyst, almost 7 months after the release of Gnome 3.0 does not get
along with Shell. The bug has been submited here
<http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=99> since April but it was until
the 22th of August (check comment 65) until we get a proper answer from
AMD. Pierre Bourdier said that the problem will be fixed with the next
version of Catalyst but the interesting part was this, and I quote:
"/finally, the crux of the issue here is that gnome developers should
have actually contacted AMD about this issue before releasing something
which only works on nvidia./"
Have Gnome devs responded to that? Who has to be blamed for this
unacceptable bug that has taken so long to be fixed?
