As I explained in an earlier post, my available time for any project
that I participate to during my free time has gone tidy since 2
weeks, and I can't promise anything for the near future.
What I did so far is to have a product that lets the team get started
with a clean installable theme.
The code organization is exposed in the doc/ folder with a todo list,
so nothing should stop anyone from continuing the job, volunteers are
welcome :-)
Note: It is very easy to get rid of the default Plone look and feel,
it's just a matter of emptying the stylesheet files kept in
gnome_custom_styles/
Don't hesitate to ask any question in regard to the templating
techniques, I'll be happy to keep helping as much as possible.
Best regards,
David

we need to have to markup and script
done in order to start adding content, so this should be top priority
right now.
I can't agree more. Let's just do it.
