Indeed! You are not the only one who thinks that with this kind of market we would make GNOME more successful and also more easy to start contributing to. The main issue here it would be from the IT part, having the required servers and bandwidth needed to run it can be really pricey, but doesn't mean that we shouldn't go ask to Mozilla if their add-ons website is free software and thus be able to use it for the GNOME one, built our own, start testing it, ask designers to come up with great mockups, etc etc Actually I'm really interested on this and maybe a good item to add to GNOME Foundation's agenda for the next IRC meeting. Would you mind to resend this proposal to gnome-foundation mailinglist?
