Bug description:
When using gnome-activity journal trunk build, Bangla complex characters do not
appear properly. They appear broken.
In some asian languages, combination of two or more characters is represented
as a new glyph. In gnome-activity journal, they are not showing up correctly,
and individual characters are shown. In default gnome, these characters work
without problem.

See the attached screenshot. While the representation of weekday names in gnome
shell calender is alright, gnome-activity shows them incorrectly. One instance
is marked in red.
