Hi all, I am trying to set up a netmeeting - gnomemeeting connection (Netmeeting to netmeeting works fine).
Problem is that netmeeting person hears my audio choppy almost all the time, likewise for the video. I hear and see her fine. The connection is also lost quite often (recall needed). So the problem seems to be totally on my side. I must say even without a connection, gnomemeeting starts showing local video very choppy at regular times. Stracing it, the poll() call just takes way more time app. from two minutes afer launching GM. Can it be that this is related to the choppy audio? Technical info about my machine : Dell D800 with Intel 82801 DB-ICH4 audio. Webcam is new model Quickcam Logitech express (bad buy I guess), so I am using the spca5xx-20050701 driver for that. Linux version is SuSE 9.3, so kernel 2.6.11.etc . Rpms : openh323-1.15.2-3, gnomemeeting-1.2.1-4. Thanks for any help with this :-) Jo PS: what is strange is that while testing the setup with the 2 computer cross-connected, I also had choppiness in the audio sent to the netmeeting when netmeeting send a large image to me. Making netmeeting send a small video capture to gnomemeeting improved the audio sent from gnomemeeting to netmeeting. Did the large video cause CPU load on the gnomemeeting machine? But right now the problem is also there with a smaller image :-/ -- Jo De Baer Novell Belgium [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Join us at Novell BrainShare Europe 2005 in Barcelona! 11-15 September, 2005 NEW LOCATION: Barcelona International Convention Center, Spain Info and registration at http://www.novell.com/brainshare/europe _______________________________________________ GnomeMeeting-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnomemeeting-list
