Please read again _and try it_!

Jack runs on top of ALSA, and the jack alsa plugin provides _virtual_ alsa 
devices as jack ports. It is in no way different to oss2jack, which provides 
a virtual device, but the jack plugin provides an alsa device, not an oss 
device.
