No, The few times I have (unsuccessfully) tried ekiga, it can never hang up the 
connection
to the echo-test (the only thing which vaguely works) and you have to kill it 
to get rid
of it. I have a completely up to date system (Gentoo kernel/alsa/kde/arts), a 
well supported sound
card (Audigy 2 LS), so I will allow you to draw your own conclusions...
