Assuming people following this thread are interested in test-driving
alternative SCMs, this may be of relevance. The arch2git import I
mentioned before is available here:

It's tested with all the trees that you can see at
http://mach.eduforge.org/cgi-bin/archzoom.cgi and working well. There
are things I'm still polishing, though.
