I don't object to others assembling one but, in general,
I'm dubious about the idea.

I tried for a while to do so but it was way too easy
to make mistakes of both omission and bogus inclusion
variety.

Plus, I've read AUTHORS lists of various *other* projects
I'm familiar with where I see gross errors.

Archives tell the tale as well as it's likely to be
told. People can claim what they like
about themselves or others and, if it ever matters,
people can do forensics.

Andy: I'd suggest taking the easy way out and blowing
the list off but, if you choose otherwise, no sweat off my
back.

Engineering is ego-less.
