== Please Teach Users about Free Software == Endorsed distros should present the core tenants of software freedom, only in accordance with the Free Software Definition and the current FSDG work-group recommendations, without reinterpretation, embellishment, or omission. Please avoid suggesting or implying, on public communication channels other than the FSDG work-group mailing list, that the FSF guidelines, the FSDG work-group recommendations, or the practices of other FSF-endorsed distros, which do not conflict with those guidelines and recommendations, are somehow in discordance with the principles of software freedom.
We very much hope that such a situation would never occur. If all of the endorsed distros were not in common agreement on the definition of this fundamental shared concept, it would undermine the validity of the FSDG. If ever there are objections, or some dissonance across distros, regarding what software freedom and the FSDG do and do not entail, or whether one of the endorsed distros is failing to meet the guidelines, such matters should be addressed by the FSDG work-group on the mailing list. The FSF will take notice of any grievances or adversity, offering clarification when requested, and guidance for any emergent grey-areas.
