That's being disingenuous, since free software projects meet the open
source definitions, and usually vice versa.

The FSF chooses not to use the term "open source" since it tends to
detract from the goals the FSF sees for free software development.  As
a consequence, the GNU project maintainer guidelines include using the
term "free software" instead of "Open Source" in the documentation.

Savannah, however, also hosts non-GNU free software projects.  As far
as I know, there are no similar requirements for the documentation of
those.
