THE GPL IS THE BEST FRIEND MICROSOFT EVER HAD.

The purpose of the GPL is not to be inimical to Microsoft, it is
to protect the four freedoms for users of software. If a company
is reluctant to incorporate free software into their products, it
is because the company wishes to deny their users some of those
freedoms. In that case, the FSF and its GPL have no reason to wish
that company to benefit. From the point of view of freedom, such a
company is neither better nor worse than Microsoft.
