Advocates of free software don't prefer the situation of several non-free software enterprises splitting the market over a single one dominating it. If anything, having only one makes it easier to create free replacements.

Advocates of free software want software to be free. If you feel disadvantaged by the non-free software that you use, free software advocates would regard that as a bonus, as that might encourage you to try and support free alternatives. Why would advocates of free software want to take actions which would enhance the quality of non-free software?
