This is based on implication that ‘smartphone’ is something that inevitably runs lots of nonfree software. Iʼd like to remind, though, that besides sad events around RMS this autumn is signified by the release of the first computer ever designed to pass the the ‘Respect your freedom’ certification, and it happens to be a smartphone.
