This is indeed what I mean, except that in a lot of guitar music, there
is an ordinary stem pointing down for the half note, _and_ a stem
pointing upwards connecting to the upper beam. I could imagine
introducing something like a `void' note notation for this, like
Voice<{dv8 a b c}{d2}>
Does that sound doable?
