AFAICT the only spec exists inside the head of some engineer at
Coda. You can only wonder what kind of a monday-morning hangover he
had when coded the IO routines.

Yep. Done, expect it in .87.  BTW, I appreciate a patch for any
missing articulation marks (they're in a table in articulation_dict).
