I think it is related to presetting
LyricVoiceMinimumVerticalExtent = #(cons -1.2 1.2)
(see engraver.ly). You can revert by
1. setting
LyricVoiceMinimumVerticalExtent = ##f
2. creating a HaraKiriLyrics, see engraver.ly for an example. You
would need this patch, prolly
