I run RedHat 7.1 myself, so this should work. I think that LilyPond is
not the only reason for upgrading (eg. security?)

We're busy changing the mailinglists: in the future there will be the
following lists,

  lilypond-devel (for discussing development and bugs)
  lilypond-user  (for "mere mortal" users)
  bug-lilypond   (for bugreports)
  info-lilypond  (for announcements)

I'm not sure in what list it should be, but I hope that this
configuration will balance the mail volume (which is now mostly on the
discuss list.)
