I'd like to announce that a basic reports infrastructure is more or
less in place, and generates a balance sheet and a profit-n-loss
statement. A bit rickety, but functional. The code for this is in CVS.

The reports are HTML based (html tables). This allows one
to do the cute trick of opening the help window, reading about
what a report is, clicking on the "click here" sign, and
having the report come up.

The main report window is a "frames" window, with a menu bar on
the left, and the reports showing up in the bigger frame on the
right.

-- Requires ePerl to be installed. ePerl is "embedded Perl",
the reports are in the form of "phtml" files, i.e. files
that need to be parsed to create valid html (kind of like
.asp or .nsf files, but perl-based).

-- Requires XmHTML 1.1.15, since earlier versions don't do tables
   and don't do frames.

I'd like to request help from some html masters in spiffing these
up a bit, maybe getting a better color scheme in place, a couple
of icons, etc.

To be done:
The order in which the accounts appear in the reports is a bit random at
the moment. I hope to add support for a "chart-of-accounts" numbering
system that would control the order in which the accounts are displayed.
This may take a while ...

Add support for method=get style queries, i.e. ?var=val&vartoo=nuther
to the URL's. This should enable some truly fancy report generation
including the use of html forms ... but this is lower priority ...
