Fair enough.

OK. I assume you've got all the dependancies for the Motif version,
so the only new one is gtk-xmhtml (which, if you're using Debian, is
already packaged in potato).

Check out the source from cvs.gnucash.org (follow the
instructions at http://gnucash.org/source_code.php3), then apply the
uuencoded patch which I'll send in an another mail in a moment.
If you have the "applypatch"
script, you can use that, otherwise follow the instructions contained
in the comments in the patch itself to apply the patch.

Then use the following sequence of commands:

autoconf
./configure (with any options you'd like to consider)
make gnome
make install

Fingers crossed, it'll build! (Yes, we are aware that the
dependancies can be a pain). If not, feel free to contact me.

No problem, as far as I'm concerned. I'd be curious personally about
Moneydance.

As requested, here's a revised version of my note you can attach to the
review:

The reporting problem identified in the LWN review has already been
fixed, and the fix will hopefully go into a 1.2.6 release quite soon.

I'd also add that the GNOME code has progressed a long way
recently, and is now to the point where a 1.3 gnome-based development
release is just a matter of organisation. The latest code already
contains MANY new features and improvements, and will get
more in the near future.

If people could bear with us while some administrative matters are
sorted out, we'll get the new development release out and CVS synced
up so that many more people are able to use and further develop our code.
