I contacted several vendors of tax preparation software to get documentation for the TXF format and they either gave no response, or told me that they did not have such a document. (Odd that they could build their software without such a thing, unless they reverse engineered their competitors software as I did) If anyone knows of a source for the TXF export format spec, it would resolve this problem.

Hi,I just took a look at the tax code documentation. This looks like it
was copied from somewhere. (specifically,
doc/html/C/xacc-txf-categories.html)This is great stuff, but are we violating any copyrights by copying
this stuff? Last thing I want is to have Intuit try to shut us down
because we've included some of thier copyrghted material ...--linas
