This bug is still affecting me in GC 2.2.7 on Mac OSX (Installed via Fink).
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434944 I'm assuming 2.2.8 and trunk still have the issue as well since the status in Bugzilla is still Unconfirmed. I'd be interested in helping roll this along through a fix process. I'm interested if anyone already has any knowledge of why the problem occurs and what the necessary fix entails.
